Location

Hadersdorf borders the Lower-Austrian communities of Purkersdorf, Mauerbach and Klosterneuberg and, due to its location in the Wienerwald, serves as the start point for many urban walking trails. Both the Mauerbach and Wienerfluss rivers run through the district. The Lainzer Tiergarten, one of Vienna’s most treasured relaxation spaces, is located just to the south.
Hadersdorf, the historic village that straddles the city and the woods, is awakening from a centuries-long sleep. As young, urban people move in, the district is undergoing a remarkable revival. Understandably, there is a great deal of enthusiasm: however, it seems like a fairy tale – Vienna Waldstil villas, the Mauerbach and the beautiful Laudon Castle on the river.
With the abundance of nature and beauty, it is even more surprising that the area benefits from such exceptional infrastructure.
Downtown is quickly reachable by car and by public transportation. For anyone who prefers to cycle in the city, the path along the Wienerfluss River is another option.
